This course introduces learners to network security. You will learn about network
fundamentals, network attacks and vulnerabilities, and current defenses. Topics covered
include network protocols, addressing, routing, small network configuration, network
vulnerability, threats, attacks, defending the networks, mitigating network attacks,
and cryptography.
This course imparts a broad understanding of the underpinnings of small network configuration,
security techniques, security best practices, and security failures. You will also
utilize Wireshark to capture data traffic and analyze that traffic to understand better
how data circumnavigates the web and your internal networks.

the cyber threat environment; laws and policies that govern cybersecurity; current
and historical structure, functions, and capabilities of private and governmental
agencies comprising the cyber community; and future trends that affect national security.
