HSCI 399: Special Topics in Health Sciences

Instructional Method: Three hours lecture.

Note(s):   The course may be repeated two times with approval from the Program Director.

Catalog Description
Students conduct an intensive study on a health science topic with faculty supervision. The course topic will vary with the faculty directing the course. The student prepares a written report on a topic related to the health sciences and presents the report findings in an online format.

Method of Instruction: Required Readings/Textbook, Recommended/Supplemental Readings, Class and Small Group Discussions

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Evaluate a health sciences topic.
  2. Synthesize the findings from the literature and other credible sources.
  3. Disseminate report findings.
