Founding mothers were Mary Atwell, Ph.D.; Moira Baker, Ph.D.; Mary Ferrari, Ph.D.; and Hilary Lips, Ph.D.

Ann Ferren, former Vice President of Academic Affairs, was a major supporter of its creation.
