The 澳门老奇人论坛 Libraries have services, support and resources to help you succeed in academia. Most services are available to all Radford students regardless of location, but some are library-specific.
We provide easy access to library materials, printing, study spaces, group meeting areas, and more!
Printing and scanning are available on both the main and RUC campuses for students and employees. Members of the public may scan items and save or email the images to themselves for printing elsewhere.
How do I log on to a computer? If you are a 澳门老奇人论坛 or RUC patron (student or employee), log on with your university username and password. If you are a public patron, use the login information available at one of our service desks.
How do I print? Your print job will automatically go to the printer nearest your computer.
How long is my document? Go to the File menu and select Print Preview.
How much does printing cost? . Library printers default to duplex printing.
Are there any scanners? Yes! Several scanners are located in McConnell Library in the Library Commons on Level 3. For 澳门老奇人论坛/RUC patrons, scans may be saved to your H drive or USB drive, e-mailed, or printed.
Are there additional printing options for 澳门老奇人论坛/RUC patrons? Yes! 澳门老奇人论坛 Printing Services offers photos, wide format prints, bound reports/booklets, business cards, resumes, and posters/flyers, on a variety of paper stocks.
Are you interested in having university owned books, journals or DVDs mailed to your home?

To request that we mail your requested items to you, simply select the 鈥淢ail - distance ed only鈥 option when placing a hold through our online catalog.
Our free Interlibrary Loan service allows you to borrow books, articles, and other materials that are not already owned by any of the University Libraries.

The first time you log on, you will be taken to a Personal Information form. After you have completed the form, you may begin requesting materials by submitting request forms, located under 鈥淣ew Request鈥 within Interlibrary Loan. You may request items that are not owned by a University library, or that are owned by one but are currently checked out.
We will submit your request to other libraries within one working day. The item's arrival date depends on how quickly a lending library is able to fill your request, plus transit time. Once your item has arrived, you will be notified by email. An item's loan period is determined by the lending library.
You may request a renewal from your 鈥淐hecked Out Items鈥 page in Interlibrary Loan, unless the item is marked 鈥淣o Renewals鈥 on the front cover. If you would like for someone other than yourself to pick up your ILL materials, you must list that person on your personal information page under 鈥淎uthorized Users.鈥
Interlibrary Loan services may be used by current 澳门老奇人论坛 students, faculty, and staff.

Yes! Most library materials can be renewed. Be sure to renew your library materials on or before their due date in order to avoid overdue fines. Renewal requests can be made through your or by contacting the Front Desk at frontdesk@radford.edu or 540-831-5364. Renewal requests for RUC Library materials can be made by contacting Rhiannon Cooke at recooke@radford.edu or 540-831-1875
If you are a 澳门老奇人论坛 or RUC employee, and you would like to designate a specific person 鈥 such as a student worker -- to check out materials on your behalf at either University Libraries location, simply email frontdesk@radford.edu from your 澳门老奇人论坛/RUC email account, and give us the following information:
After we receive this authorization, we will enter information into your library account that will allow your proxy to check out all University Libraries materials on your behalf, at either University Libraries location. You will be held responsible for damage or loss of all items that are checked out to you, regardless of whether the checkout was made by your proxy.
We will require your proxy to present their own valid identification card in order to check out materials on your behalf.
Please note that Interlibrary Loan proxy checkout permissions are handled separately through the "Authorized Users" section of . Giving someone proxy permission to check out University Libraries materials will not allow them to check out your ILL materials.
We offer a variety of materials and formats at the University Libraries. Physical items circulate for specific time periods as listed below. Renewals are available for most materials, unless other patrons are waiting.
Most items are fine-free! However, overdue fines will be charged for course reserves and audiovisual equipment. Replacement costs will be assessed for all items once they become extremely overdue, and can be cleared with either payment in full, or by return of the items. Charges may be assessed to any patron if items are damaged beyond normal wear and tear.
We send notification of overdue materials, fines, and bills to you by email. Please let us know if you have any changes to your email address, mailing address, or phone number.
You may view charges from your or by contacting the Front Desk at 540-831-5364 or frontdesk@radford.edu, or the RUC Library service desk at 540-831-2272. Payments may be made at the McConnell Library Front Desk by ONE Card, or we can arrange for you to pay by credit card. Payments may be made at the RUC Library service desk by cash, check, or ONE Card. Unpaid charges of $5 or more may result in transcript or diploma blocks for current and former students, as well as suspension of borrowing privileges. Patrons with unpaid charges are submitted to the Virginia Debt Setoff program, and amounts due will be withheld from state tax refunds or other state sources of income.
Please be aware that Teaching Resources Center loan periods and overdue fine policies differ from University Libraries loan periods and overdue fine policies.
While the University Libraries no longer offer thesis binding, some companies that do offer that service are listed below. The Libraries do not endorse any particular company and take no liability for the work done by these companies. The contact information below is subject to change.
McConnell Library has an Accessible Technology Room on Level 3 that is available for use by the campus community. Students who are registered with the Center for Accessibility Services have priority use.
The AT Room offers a large-screen PC located on a motorized adjustable table. The room also offers noise-canceling headphones, a fan, full-spectrum lighting, and a video phone.

The Course Reserves service at the University Libraries provides access to physical, supplementary course materials for specific classes. Digital materials should be linked through D2L.
